Understanding the intersection of trauma, emotional disconnection, and physiology is critical to total healing. My approach to helping the body heal involves mind body healing. It involves better access to and integration of brain (cognitive) and heart (emotional) functioning.
I draw from a wide range of highly effective modalities to determine the best treatment approach. I do this without pharmaceuticals, and often without dietary changes. I also offer an opportunity and safe space for people to start exploring how the emotional affects the physical. So you can become a steward of your healing process—in our work together and for the long term.
Mind Body Healing
Mind body healing isn’t about healing one and then the other. It is presupposes that interconnection exists between the two. Physical signs show up because of past traumas. Emotions may be stored in the body. Sometimes the reverse is true. Imbalances in the body affect the mind. Looking at both holistically allows for healing to occur.

Medication for children can be extremely dangerous. I treat kids with learning or behavior problems. I use both natural and direct impulse (neurofeedback) approaches — without the need for medication. Many cases of ADD/ADHD arise out of imbalances in the body or the mind.
More kids are being diagnosed with Autism every year. Treatment may not reverse the condition, but it can help make a child’s experience more manageable without the use of pharmaceuticals. I have helped many kids improve their quality of life physically, behaviorally, and emotionally.
Concussion & Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI)
When people get a concussion, they may not understand that they’ve had a TBI. TBI is a physical problem (versus an emotional one) and its affects can be severe. I provide the education and alternative treatments for concussions and TBI that help resolve a wide range of related challenges, including ADD/ADHD, OCD, RAD, migraines, insomnia, headaches, post-concussion issues, depression, PTSD, and anxiety.
Mind body healing is very relevant for digestive ailments. Digestion issues are a huge problem in the U.S. People struggle with issues including ulcers, gas bloating, reflux, constipation, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Even a simple problem such as constipation can be linked to a more serious problem that is arising in the body. I work with you to address both the symptom and the cause of your digestive distress so that you can return to balance. For many people, digestive issues arise due to emotional trauma. This needs to be addressed and is an example of mind-body healing approach.
Headaches & Migraines
Headaches and migraines can be extremely debilitating. It is critical to know why you are experiencing the condition in order to treat it effectively. For example, there are at least eight different causes of migraines, each requiring a different approach. I take the time to understand what is causing your migraine or headaches and then treat accordingly.
Insomnia or sleeplessness can have a huge impact on our health. Without good restorative sleep, existing health challenges will not improve. New problems can arise. Insomnia reflects a constellation of imbalances in your body. I examine the patterns of your lack of sleep to uncover and then treat what is happening in your body and mind.
Mental Health Issues
Most people think of mental health issues starting in the brain. But in fact, they can begin in any number of places in the body—and can be effectively treated in the body, as well. I evaluate and treat digestion, adrenal glands, traumatic brain injury, heavy metal toxicity, inflammation, and histamine levels to help patients improve:
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD)
- Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD)
Rashes can be both uncomfortable and embarrassing, I work with patients to eliminate rashes as quickly as possible—while also identifying and treating the physical issues causing the rash.
