Restore your heart-body-brain balance for optimal health
The Signal Lab
You've named it. You've worked on it. It came back. This practice helps you feel where it lives — in the body, not only in thought.
$27 Audio + PDF guideWhy this exists
You have probably already tried to change the thing that brought you here. Named it. Worked on it. Understood it from every angle. Watched it return.
That is not a failure of effort or insight. It is accurate information about where your attention may need to go next.
Recurring patterns often form early and continue operating automatically long after the original conditions are gone. They run below the level of conscious thought — which is why understanding a pattern and changing a pattern are two different things. You can understand a pattern completely and still feel it run.
This practice is designed to take you to where the pattern is actually experienced: in the body, as a physical sensation, in a specific location with a specific quality. Not to resolve it in 15 minutes. To locate it precisely — perhaps for the first time.
Patterns that remain unnoticed in the body tend to keep organizing relationships, stress responses, and decision-making automatically. Locating yours is the necessary first step.
What happens in the 15 minutes
The audio is paced slowly, with intentional pauses — designed to help you notice sensation before you begin to analyze it.
Body scan
Attention moves slowly through the body before any analysis begins. This builds the physical awareness the rest of the practice uses as its instrument.
The recurring theme
You briefly review the recurring theme across different periods of your life — relationships, work, health, your sense of yourself. Not one incident. The pattern across time.
Five diagnostic questions
Each question goes one layer deeper: the recurring theme, the belief underneath it, the age of that belief, where you have more choice in this than you may currently be exercising, and finally — where it lives in the body right now.
The declaration
You name the pattern in one sentence and speak it aloud. Putting the pattern into words often changes the way people relate to it — more immediate, less abstract.
What you get
Is this for you?
Why this is different
Talk therapy, coaching, and most self-development work operate at the level of understanding. They help you see the pattern, name it, track when it activates, make different choices. That work has real value.
This practice is designed to help you notice the pattern as a physical experience instead of only an intellectual one. You can understand a pattern completely and still feel it run — because understanding and sensation operate at different levels of the same experience.
This is not a replacement for other work. It is a complementary angle — one that specifically focuses on felt bodily experience, which many approaches address less directly.
What happens after
Most people finish with a clearer sense of the pattern they've been circling. Some notice it differently in the days that follow — more visible, less automatic.
The natural next question tends to be: I can see and feel this now. What do I do with it?
If this practice helps you recognize the pattern, The Signal Revealed helps you map the emotional learning underneath it across four modules: the deeper conditioning producing the pattern, the triggers that activate it, the parts of the self maintaining it, and how to track and interrupt it in real time.

Questions
What if I don't feel anything during the practice?
Some people notice very little on a first listen — particularly those who have spent years managing sensation rather than feeling it. If that happens, the practice is still worth completing. You can repeat it. Numbness or absence is itself information about where the pattern lives.
Do I need prior experience with body-based work?
No. The practice is designed for people completely new to somatic work as well as those with prior experience. The audio guides you step by step and nothing is assumed.
Should I journal afterward?
Yes, ideally. The PDF guide gives you structured space for the five questions and the declaration. Complete it immediately after the audio while the body is still primed — before the mind begins organizing the experience into a story.
Can I repeat the practice?
Yes. Many people find the practice produces different recognition on subsequent listens as the body becomes more familiar with the somatic attention it requires.
Is this therapy?
No. This is a self-guided educational practice, not a clinical consultation or a diagnosis. If you are currently in therapy, this practice is designed to complement that work at a different level — not replace it.
Can this help with physical symptoms?
This practice is not a medical treatment and makes no claims about physical outcomes. Some people who deal with stress-related physical patterns find somatic awareness work a useful complement to their physical treatment. Whether that applies to your situation is something to discuss with your own clinical providers.

Dr. Gil Winkelman ND has spent over twenty years in clinical practice at the intersection of functional medicine, somatic therapy, and depth psychology. His work began with patients whose physical symptoms — chronic fatigue, inflammatory conditions, immune disruption — didn't fully resolve with physical treatment alone. What he observed, consistently, was that stress patterns, emotional conditioning, and nervous system responses were contributing in ways the treatment protocol wasn't reaching.
The framework underlying this practice draws on his training in psychosynthesis, Internal Family Systems, somatic experiencing, and mind-body and contemplative traditions including Hawaiian Huna. He practices in Hawaii and works with patients internationally.
